New York City never ceases to amaze. With its rich history and modern-day cosmopolitan allure, the city that never sleeps offers something for everyone. During our time there, we’ll explore an array of exciting neighborhoods—all unique and each with a story. We’ll stroll cobbled streets and soak in the ambiance of bygone days, discovering architectural delights and hidden treasures by day, jazz clubs and Broadway shows by night.
Dive into the culinary dream that is New York with bites of food from around the world: hand-rolled noodles, dim sum, pane di casa, air-cured salami, and bagels (of course). We’ll visit specialty shops and fine-dining restaurants, gelato makers and centuries-old delis.
Our accommodations are in the heart of Greenwich Village, a few blocks from Washington Square Park. The Marlton Hotel, built in 1900, was once a bohemian enclave for the artistically inclined. Infamous characters such as Jack Kerouac and Lenny Bruce resided there as well as John Barrymore and Maggie Smith in their early days. The property had a complete make-over in 2013.

Our New York City tour includes 4 nights at the historic Marlton Hotel, all ground transportation after arriving to the hotel and until checkout, all group activities, tours, and all meals specified in the itinerary.

A $1000 deposit is required to secure your place in our Autumn in New York tour. Since the number of participants is limited and accommodations at the hotel vary in size and decor, early registration is highly recommended.

Arrive to the Marlton Hotel in the heart of New York's Greenwich Village. Settle in before joining the group for an evening walking tour of the neighborhood that began as a colonial settlement and turned into one of the most famous bohemian enclaves in the world. Dine at a popular Italian tavern that’s been a Village mainstay since 1918.

Bagels & Jazz
Discover the Lower East Side, the historical first stop off the boat for many of America’s families. It’s now a vibrant area with an array of street art, unique stores, and hip eateries. Visit the Tenement Museum to experience late 19th-century life. Taste your way through the traditional Jewish dishes at Russ and Daughters and Katz’s Deli. Free afternoon. Optional evening of live jazz at Arthur’s Tavern, another Village mainstay, opened in 1937.

Ethnic Food Immersion
Enjoy a day of ethnic food immersion as we travel to the Bronx’s Arthur Avenue to indulge in the treats of the city’s real Little Italy. Visit butchers and fishmongers, bakers and cheese makers. We’ll continue our journey with a dim sum lunch in Flushing, the home of the city’s best Asian food. Free evening to attend a Broadway show or concert.

A Walk through the Park
Truly discover Autumn in New York with a walking tour of Central Park with its many hidden pockets. Continue onto the Upper East Side with its storied mansions and Gilded Age culture. Free time for lunch or museum visits with an optional private tour of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. There’s also time to catch a Broadway matinee. Dinner in the Village.

Farewell!
After our last breakfast in the beautiful Marlton Hotel dining room, return by taxi, shuttle, or train to the airport of your choice--Newark, LaGuardia, or Kennedy..
